Simon Crawford-Phillips and Philip Moore used their 2004 BBT fellowship award to co-commission this new work for the piano repertoire (with BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra). This film follows the final three months of preparation as they experienced for the first time the thrill and excitement of progressing from a totally blank
canvas to a fully fledged orchestral performance.

The work was premiered by the piano duo with BBCSSO conducted
by Martyn Brabbins at Glasgow City Hall on 15th March 2008. The performance was recorded by BBC Radio 3 for broadcast on 9th August 2008.
